         FARGO'S LOTSAHOP RABBITRY

Home of show quality winners in Phoenix, Arizona!

Welcome!  Fargo's LotsaHop is located on the west side of Phoenix, Arizona.   We have a small rabbitry and we breed with the standard in mind.

When I was a Kindergarten teacher 3 years ago, we needed a classroom pet and so not knowing about breeders, I naturally went to a pet store.  I brought into my class a rabbit that I knew nothing about--didn't know if it was a "girl" or "boy" and what breed it was.  The person at the store didn't know either.  I picked "it" because it was the perfect size for my students and it was cute!  The Polish-looking rabbit was named Fargo.  My class adored "him" (he grew his manly jewels after a couple of months).  The class drew pictures of Fargo and they wrote stories about him.  Other kids often visited our classroom just to take a peek at our wonderful pet.   Fargo went home with the Most Behaved Student of the Week on the weekends and he was carried out of the classroom by a "Pet Helper" whenever there was a fire drill.  But I didn't really catch the "rabbit bug" not until I met a breeder and I brought home my first Holland Lops and Mini-Rex pets.  Chestnut, Twinky and Coco were the loves of my life.  They lived in my loft and played with my small dogs (the pups mostly stole their carrot sticks and yes, ate their poop).  I went to my first Rabbit show in Maricopa and decided that there was nothing more exciting than having a room full of bunnies!  That was when my husband lost the garage.

I am grateful to a lot of people who were very generous with their time, knowledge and friendship.  Three years into the hobby and I am still very much in love with my lop-eared cuties!  I would like to thank Lorri Lynn for Chestnut, Twinky and Coco.  Thanks to Tiffane Astle and Gina Layton for taking me "under their wing."  A million thank yous to Gary and Grace Vanderyacht for my stock, and Rachel Roehe for introducing me to them.  And of course, my deepest gratitude to my dearest husband, Jeffrey, for his understanding, sacrifice and valuable support.
